- Model and serial number On a range it is behind the kick panel or inside the lower door frame. On a hood it is inside the filter housing.
- What it is actually doing "Clicks but will not light on two burners" tells us more than "the range is broken".
- When it started, and what changed A deep clean, a power cut, a new tank or a countertop job the week before are all live clues.
- Any code on the display Write the F-code down exactly. It usually narrows the fault to one circuit before we set off.
