Gas Flex Connector Behind a Wolf Range
The gas flex connector is the flexible metal appliance line between the shut-off valve on the house supply and the gas inlet of a Wolf range. Wolf's installation notes ask for that shut-off to sit near the range, somewhere it can be reached, with nothing blocking it.

What it means for the repair
The connector is out of sight, so the symptoms lead. When every burner is weak together and the range’s own parts check out, the supply behind it is next: the shut-off first, then the line. A heavy range has to come out to be seen, and Wolf’s anti-tip device must be engaged again when it goes back. Any repair to the connector or the valve is a gas fitter’s; anything wrong inside the range itself stays with us.
Before you call
Do not slide the range out or reach behind it; the connector and the valve are not owner checks. What helps most is timing. Note whether every burner went weak or just one, and whether it began after the range was moved, the floor was redone or the cabinets were worked on.

I can smell gas behind the range. What should I do?
Leave the house straight away, and do not flip switches, light anything or use a phone indoors. Once you are outside, call 911 or Puget Sound Energy. Do not pull the range out to look for the leak yourself. When the gas side has been made safe, the range itself can be checked.
