Wolf Ignition After a Power Cut: Spark, Oven Relight and Lock-Out
Without power a Wolf range cannot spark, but Wolf allows the surface burners to be lit by hand: knob to Hi, a long multi-purpose lighter at the edge of the burner. The oven, griddle and charbroiler wait for power. A light flashing afterwards clears when that knob is turned off and on; if it does not, call Wolf Repair Kirkland, (425) 699-2400.

Normal
- Silence at every burner while the power is out. The igniters are electric and cannot click without it.
- A burner lit by hand stays lit but cannot relight itself if it goes out, so stay beside it.
- An oven left on through a brief cut relighting itself when power returns, though Wolf advises switching it off for any outage.
Fault
- Power is back, a 30-second breaker reset is done, and still no burner clicks.
- The oven or griddle light flashes again each time its knob is turned off and back on.
What to check first
When power returns, set every knob to Off and check the range’s breaker. Turn one burner to Hi and listen for the click. A flashing oven or griddle light means the flame was lost and the control went into safety lock-out; turning that knob to Off and on again resets it. A legacy dual fuel range may show PF, Wolf’s code for a power failure. Never put a lighter to the oven, griddle or charbroiler.
